Melissa Matson stunning in West Coast Premiere of orchestrated Viola Sonata
The Feb. 18-19, 2012 performances of Clarke’s Viola Sonata (as orchestrated by Ruth Lomon) were a thrilling success. Violist Melissa Matson was, by all accounts, absolutely stunning as the soloist in the performance with the North State Symphony (of California). The concerts took place to near-capacity audiences In Chico and Redding, CA, directed by Maestro Kyle Wiley Picket.
We are happy to offer excerpts of the performance, recorded live!
